Project Engineer

Position Overview:
Phillips-Medisize, LLC is seeking a Project Engineer to coordinate projects and contribute effective engineering skills with a variety of customers within our Medford facility. Responsible for controlling project quality, cost, and delivery to meet customer expectations.
Essential Functions:
  • Coordinate, direct and lead engineering efforts to ensure optimum engineering of projects/programs to meet customer and manufacturing requirements
  • Interface with customers on a regular basis to resolve issues
  • Facilitate communication between customer, sales, engineering functions, outside vendors, manufacturing and multi-facility groups
  • Maintain cost control and profitability through interaction with the accounting group, sales and our customers
  • Coordinate tooling programs from kick-off to part production ready (customer and manufacturing approval
  • Create and monitor project timelines
  • Develop and establish cost estimates and project options to support quoting function
  • Implement technical solutions to meet customer and Phillips Plastics cost, quality, and delivery expectations
  • Extended travel to other facilities, suppliers or customer sites may be required to support business needs

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor?s Degree in an engineering field with 5+ years of related experience or equivalent education/experience
  • Plastic injection molding and/or tooling experience

Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong and diverse technical injection molding tooling, materials, manufacturing, quality, and product design skills
  • Ability to use CAD to determine if tooling, equipment and part designs meet requirements
  • Demonstrated communication, teamwork and organizational skills
  • Ability to accurately quote design, tools/equipment, and parts
  • Ability to develop and meet project schedules, along with contingency plans
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and meet financial goals
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and develop future account needs
  • Ability to lead others (Responsibility may include direct supervision of technicians and mentoring/leading engineers)
  • Exhibit strong moral characteristics such as Integrity, Compliance, Humility and Respect in keeping with our company?s guiding principles.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
